Treatment may involve medications, nasal care, hydration, steam inhalation, and medical evaluation when symptoms persist.

Your sinuses are air-filled cavities located behind the forehead, cheeks, nose, and eyes. These sinuses are lined with a thin mucous membrane. When this lining becomes swollen or inflamed, pressure can build up—even if air is still passing freely through your nose.

1. Inflammation Without Nasal Blockage
The sinus lining can swell due to infection or allergy without causing noticeable nasal congestion. This internal swelling increases pressure inside the sinus cavities.
2. Trapped Mucus Deep in the Sinuses
Mucus may accumulate inside the sinuses but not block the nasal passages. As a result, you feel pressure but can still breathe normally through your nose.
